Yes it does affect you, if you have a radio system that operates in wide band mode. Most two-way radio systems that have been in place for the last 10 years or more have a high probability of operating in wideband mode in the VHF (150-174 MHz ) and/or UHF (421-430 MHz and 450-512 MHz) frequency bands.
